Meet the team

Stephen and his family moved to Australia from South Africa over four years ago and now call WA home. Stephen has a corporate and entrepreneurial background from his experience in South Africa, which backs up his mechanical engineering degree and MBD “cume laude” from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom. Stephen also has an honorary MBA from Buckingham, England, a special award bestowed on him for achieving an academic status of one of the top ten MBA student in the world during his graduation year.

Stephen is a keen athlete who enjoys working out as well as taking long cycles. He loves spending time with his wife and two children and not to mention a great steak on the Braai (BBQ as it is more commonly known).

Also from South Africa, Alex is a certified SAP MM consultant and has a B.Comm IS (Hons) degree from the University of Cape Town.  Alex works part-time in the business either working on the company’s business systems, or generally lending a hand wherever it may be needed. 

Alex likes spending quality time with her family and friends, has an appreciation for good food and wine and enjoys going on runs around the river. 

Danielle is the life and soul of Plas-Pak, she has a contagious laugh which can often be heard throughout the office and indeed the factory.

Danielle’s background is in the earthmoving industry and she brings organisational and accounts experience to the Plas-Pak team. She has a passion for all things musical and dance which is evident when she picks up the microphone to sing. Danielle is 100% Australia made, is married with two daughters and makes a mean chicken and noodle soup.

Mark Ogden - Production Manager 

Originally from the glorious North of England, Mark joined the Plas-Pak WA team in November 2011. He has extensive experience in the manufacturing of plastics and can generally be found on the factory floor getting well and truly stuck in!

He likes fishing and motor boats hence the decision to move to WA, however we are still awaiting our Monday fresh fish supply after his weekends at the ocean. 

Shammi Samuwel - Warehouse Manager

Shammi has been with Plas-Pak for a year now and has the mammoth task of organizing all our customer’s products and ensuring that they get delivered on time. Shammi is often seen whizzing around the factory on the forklift ensuring that our customer’s products are delivered to the right places.

Shammi, originally from Sri Lanka, just loves his cricket and was disappointed recently when they only just failed to win the Cricket world cup. Shammi will very soon become a father for the first time.
