Plas-Pak (WA) is an Australian-owned business that was established in 1982.

Our manufacturing facilities are located in Malaga, Perth, Western Australia with production and warehousing facilities covering over 4,500 square meters.

We design, manufacture and supply an extensive range of plastic packaging, including a large range of plastic bottles, jars, shaker packs and jerry cans as well as their associated closures including plastic caps, lids, pumps and sprayers. Our products are supplied into a multitude of industries including, but not limited to the Industrial-, Agricultural- and Household Chemical, Automotive, Cosmetics and Personal care, Pharmaceutical, and Food & Beverage markets.

HACCP Certification

The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) concept has been used in the food industry to control hazards associated with food processing.  In a nutshell, HACCP involves the identification of potential hazards, the development and implementation of risk mitigation procedures, and the maintenance of supporting documentation.  The application of HACCP was previously limited to food manufacturing; however, HACCP applications to the process of food packaging have begun to take hold. The packaging supplier is now seen as a crucial step in the overall process of ensuring food safety, which begins with manufacturing and ends with consumption.  As a result, direct food contact packaging is now treated as a food ingredient in most cases. Plas-Pak (WA) achieved their HACCP Accreditation in January 2016 through Food Safety Plus, giving our customers in the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries the guarantee that their products are manufactured under strict guidelines in a clean environment.  This HACCP Accreditation is subject to an annual review. happ2



Do we design packaging?
Yes, we do. With the extensive skill and resources available to us we can cater for most of your requirements.

Do we have minimum order quantities?
Generally our minimum on stock items will be approx 1000 units. On items that we do not have in stock the MOQ is 2500 units. Keep in mind that the larger the order, the more we can save you in per-part costs.  We do however only deliver whole cartons of product.

How much will my tooling cost?
Tooling costs vary dramatically; it depends upon the complexity of the design and material requirements to manufacture the mould.

What is our average delivery lead time?
If we have the product in stock that you need, we can deliver it within 2 days. If we need to manufacture the product for you, please expect a lead time of 2 weeks(ex works). If you want a custom product to be developed, our sales and design engineering team will work closely with you to understand your time constraints and do everything possible to meet or exceed your expectations.

What is the process to develop a new product?
We begin with an assessment of your needs through meetings and analysis. From there, using 3D design software, our CAD engineers create a packaging concept for you. See examples of 3D design images below:

Once this design is approved, we move to developing prototype tooling which we use to create prototype packaging. The prototype packaging is then presented for your approval. When the packaging meets your final approval, we create the production tooling and, when you are ready, begin creating your packaging in our production facility.

What materials are used? The materials most commonly used to make our blow moulded products are High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), and Polyvinylchloride (PVC). Our injection moulded products are most commonly produced from Polypropylene (PP), however a selection of speciality materials are also used. We can colour match and mould products in any colour of your choice, including pearlescents and metallics.
What quality processes are in place?
We are dedicated to maintaining the highest possible level of quality with all our products and services.  Quality assurance processes are in place for manufacturing whereby samples are taken from each machine a minimum of every hour and a series of checks are made and recorded by trained quality personnel.  Furthermore all relevant information including cycle time and weight are also recorded for full traceability. Plas-Pak has a motto “A1 all the time”. If a product is not “A1”, i.e. meeting all the quality inspection criteria, it will not pass inspection.To create the perfect product, our machinery needs to be in tip-top condition.  That’s why we continually maintain our machines and also upgrade them to incorporate the latest technologies and meet the latest industry standards.  We also invest in new machinery to cater for the constant expansion of the company.
